Faces Canada urban balance charcoal peel off mask : Tried and tested + Review
Hi everyone, this post is regarding a charcoal face mask from the brand Faces Canada. I have used it for almost a month and to be honest not very happy with the results.
Masking has become like a trend and is very much "in" in skin care routine. Although face masks is an age old remedy to get clean and healthy skin, it is now being extensively used with the help of various ingredients which was earlier limited to few ones. Out of these one amongst them really made me curious to use this mask was "Charcoal"
Of course it's not raw, it's processed and made skin friendly. This particular which I am writing about is peel off mask from the brand "Faces Canada"
Let us first start with Packaging of the product.
It comes in a tube with flip top cap. Although it's printed on the tube that quantity of the product is 90gm but if you actually feel the tube in your hands it's less than 90gm, as its half filled. As you can see in the pic it's ingredients which are completely natural and made from herbs. No doubt the mask smells good.
For the price of 449 INR this is not worth buying reason being the quantity is very less compared to the pricing.
Usage + Observations
I first used it as per the instructions mentioned on the packaging which is very basic. Cleansing followed by toning and then masking followed by last step of moisturizing. Being a skin care product it will obviously not give results overnight. With increasing number of usage time I realized it's not giving me the expected results.
Now coming to product observation. The consistency of the product is very dry. It's not that slithery as normal peel mask should be. Not too wet and not too dry, just a perfect mixture like that of wet clay. By the time you remove the product from tube and start applying it immediately starts to dry off. Since it's a peel of mask so anyone would want to apply it in a good quantity, but it fails to satisfy. As mentioned earlier it dries very quickly. Now comes the worst part "peeling off". If you have a very sensitive skin your face is ought to get rashes and turn red and feel itchy. If it's acne prone, I am sure at least one of the acne would surely burst into puss. Although I have a combination skin (oily + dry) I faced a lot rashes and boils after removing the mask.
My Verdict
I would definitely not recommend it to use if you have a sensitive or dry skin.
It's not worth the price against the quantity that is packed. There are other brands selling better product in lesser price.
