Difference of Application of CC cream & foundation before Makeup

Hello everyone. Today's post is about the difference of application in the base of makeup. Make up base can be done with two products after applying Primer.

One is CC cream (complexion care) & foundation. Lets evaluate both of them.

When it comes to make up, the base has to be perfect and easily blended in to the skin tone. Both CC cream and foundation can be used as base but both of them have completely different intensity of coverage.

In the left image you can notice application of CC cream. Easy to blend with beauty blender or fingertips. It also acts a moisturizer and sunscreen. Although it gives medium coverage.

In the right image you can see the application of foundation. Again it's oldest form of make up base known to all. Easily blends with skin tone, gives full coverage which holds the make up for long time.

Difference between the two products

1. Time : CC cream requires less time to apply, especially when you don't have time for heavy make up. The makeup lasts for 3-4 hours easily. Since it acts as a moisturizer and sunblock you need not apply another layer of product whereas foundation on the other hand of course takes a bit long to apply as it needs to be blended perfectly with the skin without making the face appear caky. The make up lasts for more than 4 hours and gives a proper finished look as compared to CC cream.

2. Coverage : As you can notice in the above image the intensity of coverage of both the products. CC cream gives you medium coverage along with a white wash whereas foundation gives almost a full coverage with out any white wash. Although concealer is must after applying either of them.

3. Application : CC cream can be applied with the help of finger tips, then spread evenly everywhere whereas foundation needs to be applied in required amount, depending on the face structure and the type of make up you want ( light to heavy ) as now a days it comes in various forms such as liquid foundation, stick foundation which is in creamy texture. Also foundation cannot be applied with hands and spread like a cream. It has to be blended with beauty blender or with a foundation brush.

4. Purpose : CC cream only evens out the skin tone whereas foundation not only evens out the skin tone but also holds the make up for long time.

Both the products are have their own significance as a make up base. For beginners CC cream acts a great help for base. Foundation comes in number of shades and forms as mentioned earlier, but the beauty of it lies in perfect application.
